mbi thomas ikome asked a good question. (I don't know how this big font happened...sorry. lol) How do we find a partner for the practice of tantra.  This is appropriate for both men and women, and I hope some of you can share your own perspectives. Here is one approach.

It can be a lifelong search to find the ideal, but we can shorten it by understanding and practicing the dynamics of tantra and exaltation of the Goddess in everyday life, if you are a man.  If you are a woman, be open to appreciating a male who is "on your wavelength"...he may be your next bliss partner.  But of course, use discernment.

Welcome Mbi Thomas Ikome, and all...

A good introductory book to read on sexual teachings surrounding tantra would be Margo Anand's THE ART OF SEXUAL ECSTASY and her followup volume THE ART OF SEXUAL MAGIC.

Tantra is much broader than the sex practices, so you can get into Hindu or Buddhist tantras and many different spiritualities if you wish.

Welcome aboard and I hope you are inspired to contribute to ongoing discussions.

If anyone has contributions on the general subject of "yoni massage", this might be a good place to bring them out.  Yoni massage is not strictly tantric, but it fits right in with tantric sexuality and spirituality in that it honors the Goddess by visiting her internal domains with reverence and tenderness, and once inside, the "yoni masseur" enjoys a deep partaking in primal Goddess energies coming from within a woman's most intimate chamber of mysteries.

My own girlfriend and I spend considerable time in this beautiful practice.  My hand is deeply embedded in pure feminine energy flow and a kind of "aura" seems to flow from within my Goddess, up my arm, in throughout my entire body.  I love to bask in this energy fountain, while I induce orgasms in her body that bring about a surge of this energy.  My hand, deeply penetrating her sexual depths, seems to become part of her body, as if she was taking over its being and rejuvenating it with her amazing powers.

i find that anything that gets to sexual arousal separate from the massage is then the limit, if its professional, when it is accepted as a study though the limit may be limitless..

i'm a educated massage , tantra expert i studied the 18 point system of tantra and deul arts of the chakra natures... for the 18 points are all so union-ed points.. as in group or couple arts..

i love the real art of touch as it is the spiritual self released without fear of humanities sickness, and that is doubt and loss...

I thought I'd add a couple of "practical" notes that keep coming up in connection with Yoni massage.

1)" How far in does one go".  With both Ellen (my teen lover) and my present girlfriend, my big hand goes in till her lips are 3-4 inches beyond my wrist bone. So I'm really "in there".  When she contracts her PC muscles, her vagina clamps down on my hand with amazing power.

But I've had some lovers who did not have "space" to get in...not that there was no room at all (babies after all come out that way naturally and they take up more space than 3 or 4 hands) but there was either a history of surgical work done, maybe in connection with hysterectomy, or deep seated subconscious rejection of this "invasion" of her most private part of all.  This can happen even if the woman herself wants to have her yoni massaged on the conscious level.

I have found some of the latter cases can get most if not all the benefit of yoni massage with insertion of 3-4 fingers and deft use of the "hot sensory zones" just beyond the vaginal wall.  So full hand entry is not absolutely required.

Every woman is slightly or greatly different in the way that her sensory equipment is distributed inside her body.  My present lover, for instance, is very sensitive throughout the entire vaginal wall and the mere presence of my hand inside her induces a nearly continual orgasm or near-orgasm.  Other women are most sensitive outside the vagina itself, so you approach those zones using her vagina as a "glove" to reach them.

Others have amazing sensitivity at the cervix. My "Ellen" was like this...when I caressed her cervix inside her yoni, she propelled into an amazing seizure-like orgasm that was quite scary-awesome at first. She was unable to breathe, her arms and legs went stiff, she trembled...kind of like an epileptic seizure.  I found out that this was her primary "hot spot". (During her periods, her sensitivity increased still more, so we always had yoni massage when she was having a period...but she was on the pill most of the time...)

Some women don't have much sensation inside, even at the g-spot, but they enjoy the intimacy of the event.

2) Doesn't this "stretch" you so you can't enjoy normal sex afterwards, being too "big" to clench a man's penis?

The short answer is no...the vagina is muscular and contracts back in time to its original size and shape after yoni massage, but women who have good muscle tone in their PCs can return to original shape almost immediately.  I very often yoni massage my present girlfriend and then enter her with normal penis penetration, and she is as tight as ever!  She does PC exercises, and I recommend them for both men and women.

Some organs are not muscular in nature and might not return to pre-stretch shape.  Like the lower intenstine for anal fisting.  I saw a video of a woman insert her arm up to her shoulder inside a man's rectum.  She probably had to re-arrange some of his intestinal coils to get this far in!  I don't do anal fisting.

3) "If you get so much out of yoni massage, doesn't it replace normal sex?"

Not for me or my present lover.  There is something about "normal sex" that is transcendent with the right partner. Yoni Massage is amazing and wonderful, but can be regarded as a "sideshow" on its own, as separated from a total sexual experience.

It's kind of hard to explain...when I have my entire hand and part of my forearm inside my lover, there is amazing intimacy with her "goddess chamber", and her body seems to be an extension of mine. I can feel her every twinge, feel her pulse pounding inside, and experience the natural movements of some of her internal organs that even she is not aware of.  I can sense her sex energy boiling up inside and climbing up my arm.  Could anything be much more intimate?  She totally surrenders her innermost femininity to me.  It is indeed wonderful in every way.

But "normal sex" fulfils us both at an even deeper level. The orgasms are heavier with Yoni Massage, but the deepest connection with each other occurs during normal sex.   There is something "beyond orgasm" that all-out passionate lovemaking touches and orgasm by itself does not.

We like to see Yoni Massage as part of "normal sex"...like another "position", and I go into her for Yoni Massage several times in an hour of sex...This takes it out of the "side show" arena and back where it belongs, as integral to our total sexual experience.

For those who want to read about Yoni in particular, there is a quite decent book out I can recommend, called "The Hand in the Bush" by Deborah Addington. Get it on Amazon.  It's a bit dated (how many women have bushes these days? lol) but very useful for a starting guide to Yoni Massage under the former name of Vaginal Fisting.  This is a very "conservative" approach that does not overhype the results.  The author was apparently unaware of some "moves" that the "yoni masseur" can do inside a woman's body that can stimulate her to outrageously powerful orgasmic explosions.  But it's fine for a starter manual.

If you want to see a movie that has Yoni Massage in it, Anthony Hopkins starred in just such a movie!  It's called "The Road to Wellville" and is a semi-bio of John Kellogg, who invented the cornflake and founded the great cereal company. The plot revolves around his "Sanitarium", a kind of health and exercise retreat home.   Hopkins is AMAZING in this comedy role...some of the costars included Bridgette Fonda, Matthew Broderick, John Cusak and Dana Carvey.  Delicious roles all.

This is one of my favorite comedy films...they presented "Womb Massage", as it was actually called in those days, in a very favorable light.  No, you didn't see a hand going inside a woman's yoni, but if you knew what was happening, everything else was shown, including her orgasm!  Bridgette Fonda plays an uptight gal who was just learning to relax and enjoy her body.  Movie goers were treated to nice views of her nude body as well as one or two other attractive women, mostly in connection with Matthew Broderick's "adventures".  Highly recommend this flick...rent it from Netflix.  It was Hopkins one and only comic role to my knowledge.  He deserved an Oscar for his role.

I like lots of different perspectives coming out...makes a group lively and interesting.  Some of us have partners already, others are interested in finding tantric love partners, and others are just going to want to learn more for possible "future use" I guess.

If any of you are interested in a book suggestion on the general topic that has become a classic, I'd recommend "The Art of Sexual Ecstasy" by Margo Anand...she has a number of others but this is her basic work on tantric sex in general.
