Just last September I self-published a how-to handbook about astrology as it applies to alchemy. It's not just another quasi 'your destiny is in the stars' superstitious conglomeration of the same old tired rhetoric you see in the daily newspaper, or online. And, when I use the term alchemy I'm referring to the actual practice of laboratory processes that lead our society to discover chemistry.

This form of astrology was used by ancient alchemists to predict the best day to proceed with specific laboratory processes. They also used it to gain a better understanding of themselves by associating influences observed in their labs, in a spiritually motivated way, to their own natural talents. Alchemists would record the positions of the planets in their notes and noticed certain trends related to these positions. This allowed them to look ahead and determine which days were best for achieving their desired results.

After thousands of years of study astrology became irrefutable not only by the philosophers, but also in the minds of everyone from the average person to kings. Modern scientists, particularly in the fields of astronomy and physics, are discovering evidence that supports the findings of these ancient alchemists. It's become obvious that the influence of the cosmos is more than the faint light from the twinkle of a star, or the weak gravitational effects of a planet, reaching vast distances to cause an effect over life on earth. The cosmos is an ever fluxing ocean of particles and radiation that consistently touch our planet.

I have witnessed processes in the laboratory that are scientifically unproven and yet they happened just the way the alchemists said they would. My contemporarily trained friends can't quite come up with a logical explanation. After researching alchemy and astrology for 28 years I'm more than convinced, I know. My handbook shows people how to use astrology so they also can come to know that there is more than just 'something to it'.
